What CFL News Hub Is

CFL News Hub is the flagship of our portfolio and the longest-running proof that the approach works. It launched in 2021 as a news site and grew into a full sports platform: live scores and standings for all nine Canadian Football League teams, player and team pages, a transactions feed, a fan forum with live chat, fantasy integration, native iOS and Android apps, and a paid Pro subscription.

The part we're proudest of isn't the traffic. It's that the site offers real-time CFL game data and stats on mobile that the league itself doesn't provide. Fans use it during games because there's nowhere better to look — and that gap was closed by one person with AI, not by a newsroom.

The problem

A professional sports league had an audience that wanted live data on their phones, and no product that delivered it. Filling that gap would normally take an editorial staff, a data team, and mobile developers.

What We Built

Live scores and standings

Week-by-week game cards with live scoring, venue, and broadcast info, plus East and West division standings that update after every game — the mobile experience the league doesn't offer.

Full team and player database

Every team gets its own page with depth charts, injuries, and colour-themed branding; every player gets stats and news, all driven off a shared data layer rather than hand-maintained pages.

AI-written previews and recaps

Game previews, recaps, and player spotlights are drafted by Claude against live game data, then published on a schedule no solo writer could match — which is exactly how the site out-publishes staffed competitors.

Fan community

Threaded forums with voting and real-time chat over WebSockets. Community is what turns a news site people visit during the season into one they return to year-round.

Native mobile apps

iOS and Android apps with OneSignal push notifications, so breaking news and final scores reach readers without waiting for them to come back to the site.

Pro subscription tier

Stripe-powered checkout, customer portal, and webhooks behind an ad-free Pro tier — the platform earns revenue directly, not only through advertising.

Why this matters for you

Publishing at institutional scale, ranking against staffed newsrooms, and shipping mobile apps and payments — from one operator. The systems that make that possible are the same ones we point at a client's business.

Questions About CFL News Hub

Who built and runs CFL News Hub?

Pulse AI Solutions built it and operates it. It is not a client project — it's our own platform, funded with our own money, which is why we can show the whole thing rather than a sanitised case study.

How does one person publish enough to rank against staffed sports media?

By making AI do the volume work. Game previews, recaps, and player spotlights are generated from live data and reviewed before publishing, so the site keeps a publishing cadence a solo writer could never sustain. That leverage is the entire pitch of our AI consulting practice.

What does this prove for my business?

That the systems work on a real product with real competition, not in a demo. The same SEO platform, content pipelines, and automation running CFL News Hub are what we deploy for clients.
